Mr. Deyoe updated the Town Council on the Sewer Use Ordinance that Mr. Brauen was asked to prepare. The modified ordinance would allow a town property owner who is connected to the public sanitary sewer yet operates a private well to choose between two means of paying for their sewer service. The first option is the flat monthly rate which exists currently. The second option is that the property owner can choose to have a meter installed, which will then allow them to pay for their actual water use, in the same way that someone using the town water services pays. This will allow them to pay for their sewer usage in a more accurate fashion. The property owner will be responsible for the installation of the meter.
